Permaculture is about creating sustainable human habitats by following nature’s patterns. In our Permaculture group, the focus is practical – we meet one Sunday each month at a member’s home and share work on their land or in their garden – and enjoy a very good shared lunch!
Permaculture seeks to foster the skills, confidence and imagination to enable people to become self-reliant, and to seek creative solutions to problems on a global or local scale.
Permaculture provides the Transition movement with some of its philosophical underpinning.
Here are some photos of us at work making a Hugel bed, weeding a vegetable plot, coppicing, erecting a polytunnel, and pressing apples.
